So, if you had a million dollars kicking around and you weren’t sure what to do with it, what would you choose to buy?
a)Â Â Â A dingy little home in Vancouver’s sketchy east-end slum?
b)Â Â Â A beachfront villa in Playa del Carmen?
This is the question that Melissa Carr, blogger of TheThirtiesGrind.com and writer for Huffington Post, asks.
For your reference, here’s the “beautiful†million-dollar home in Vancouver she’s talking about.
(Yes, if you’re wondering, that home is really be listed for over a million dollars!)
Let’s Throw in a Beach
She doesn’t mention Playa del Carmen. She compares the hovel in Vancouver’s East End to a beautiful home in Pasadena. In fact, she has a whole category of blog posts dedicated to these absurdly over-priced dumps in Vancouver (appropriately called “Are You F-ing Kidding Meâ€!)
But I’m going to one-up Melissa’s comparison. The home she chose in Pasadena is without a doubt a beauty. Take a look (link above.) But, my only complaint is that it doesn’t include a beach. I love beaches – I guess living in Playa del Carmen has spoiled me.
Here’s my million dollar pick – a villa on the beach in Playacar:
So, All You Canadians …
What are you going to choose? Life in Vancouver’s East End, or life in Paradise?
