Sometimes here in the Top Mexico office we just like to go out and have a bit of fun! Just last week we decided to have a little “race†of sorts – not a fair, even or serious race, but certainly a fun one to say the least.
We decided to find out exactly how many minutes it takes to get from El Cielo Residencial, a beautiful gated community that has many appealing properties for expats, to the beach. Some of us went on bike, others on foot (walking and jogging) and even some in a golf cart! As I said, this wasn’t exactly “fair,†but it sure was fun. Take a look:
Now, I know what you’re thinking:
“Don’t these guys have better things to do with their time?â€
Well, we probably do.
But, I can tell you this: once you live in Playa del Carmen, you’ll find yourself taking more time to do things, just for fun!
How long does it take to walk to the beach?
How far is the walk along the beach to downtown?
How many good bars can I find along the way?
What’s the best meal I can get for $5?
You’ll find yourself wondering things like this, and – just because you have the time, because life is so relaxed and because it’s fun – you find yourself taking the time to do it!
But, of course, there is a lesson to be learned from our little outing; El Cielo is really close to the beach, and it’s a beautiful walk!
