I love hearing stories like this! Especially this one; the Tomeos are long-time visitors of the area, who first started coming 30 years ago!!! As they said, they remember when Cancun had only 10 hotels, and Playa del Carmen was a couple of fishing huts on the beach, within only one road coming down to the beach from the highway.
As Playa del Carmen grew, it looks like their love for it did too.
