I myself, as well as all of us from Top Mexico Real Estate, would like to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year! Time is always moving, and each year we find new passages of life! We vow to chase our dreams, we finish uncompleted projects and make new goals for other years to come!
2013 was a great year for real estate in Playa del Carmen; as the entire country of Mexico, including the Riviera Maya region, has continued to prosper, fight against negative media attention and continue to rise to the top with a strong economy; while maintaining its reputation for being a Top destination for foreigners, including Americans and Canadians, to want to live and buy real estate.
We expect 2014 to continue to follow suit with the same strength we have had in the past years, with high occupancy rates reaching just about 100 percent, increased flights directed to Cancun, a record number of foreign residency requests, and a significant surge in interest in Mexico Real Estate.
What are some the changes or advancements that you can expect to see for Real Estate Investment in Playa del Carmen for this New Year?
- Areas otherwise known as local areas are now being built and dressed up for expats and tourists. The “locals” section of Playa del Carmen that we once knew is now becoming the new hip part of Playa del Carmen.
- Expect to see new developments and increased retail and restaurant establishments build northward on the 5th Avenue! Property values in these areas will rise as popularity attracts new buyers to the area!
- This year’s pre-construction will be completed and new Preconstruction opportunities will arise! GREAT for investors looking to make a good and quick return on their investment.
- New resorts and boutique hotels will be built and completed, promoting even more tourism to the area. The debate is still going between Old Playa lovers and New Playa lovers, but from an investment standpoint there are dollar signs for the future!
- Major retail shops will be opening on and off the 5th Avenue as well as new entertainment venues
- New luxury residential areas such as “El Cielo“Â and “The Fives” will be expanding further, bringing more peace and quiet to Playa del Carmen, away from downtown.
- The expat community will grow bringing new friends, small businesses and more interaction in volunteer efforts.
If your dream is to finally own that beautiful home in the Riviera Maya, then 2014 can be the year you make the dream happen!
Happy New Year from all of us at Top Mexico Real Estate!
