Finally, because we all love Playa del Carmen and we care about our environment, the municipality of Solidaridad has set the date to start separating trash!
This means every household will have to separate their wastes in separated bins. We highly recommend to make use of trash cans, since dogs or other animals can easily break plastic bags. This will make it easier for the garbage collectors to handle your trash.
How will it work?
The program starts on August 5th.
Tuesdays and Thursdays will be the recollection days for cardboard, paper, plastics, aluminum and tin.
Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays will be the days for glass bottles, organic and inorganic waste.
The trash collecting schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 1:00 p.m.
