Rescuing animals is a big task all over the world. These animals are our pets and some people treat them more as their kids. It’s terrible to see these animals on the streets with no home and no food to eat. We are thankful that we have such amazing animal rescue homes here in Mexico that these animals can go too! We would like to recognize a few of these great rescue homes here in Playa del Carmen:

Playa Animal Rescue
Playa Animal Rescue is a no kill animal shelter in Playa del Carmen. It is a proudly nonprofit organization that utilizes their time in finding homes for all the homeless animals. If you would like to help Playa Animal Rescue out you can donate online right on this link. They would appreciate anything and everything that you could help with. On their website you can also find some of their animals that are looking for new homes.
Coco’s Animal Welfare
Coco’s Animal Welfare is also located in Playa del Carmen and they offer many different programs for your cats and dogs. You can also visit their website to donate money towards their animal’s lives. Coco’s Animal Welfare is partners with IFAW- International Fund For Animal Welfare. Each of these organizations appreciates your help with volunteering to help find these animals a better place to live.
SOS El Arca
SOS El Arca is another great organization in Playa del Carmen. This animal rescue home actually rescues dogs off the street and from the pound before they end up dying within three days. They are a no-kill shelter that looks after the dogs until they find a good home. SOS El Arca is looking for donations so they can buy medicine for their animals in order to keep them healthy. You can make a donation online here. Any donation would be wonderful, and would impact these animals greatly.
CEBIAM
CEBIAM is another organization that helps rescue hurt and unhealthy dogs off the street. They are also wonderful because they actually go in to people’s homes if they get a call saying their animals are not being treated properly and CEBIAM removes these pets from hostile situations. CEBIAM is always looking for volunteers who would come and take these dogs for a walk and just show some love to these animals. You can also help bath these dogs and transfer them to a neuter clinic.
