Parque Fundadores, Playa del Carmen
Parque Fundadores is a small park on the famous Fifth Avenue and the beach. It’s a place you can go to and enjoy the Mexican culture, while being emerged with people of all nationalities. People of all ages come to enjoy the scenic views and escape the rush from everyday life. There is a show that goes on everyday called “Voladores de Papantla†which is a unique Mexican religious ceremony. While you take in the views, there is an abundance of delicious cuisine surrounding this park so you can enjoy lunch with a view. This place is located close to the ferry dock from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel, so it tends to get busy sometimes. People flock to this area because you have the traditional Mexican shops and cuisines and the beach on the other side.
Playacar Beach, Playa del Carmen
The beach at Playacar is a tourist-favorite spot in Playa del Carmen. This is partly due to the upbeat restaurant and bar, Señor Frogs, that is located right on this beach. If you are looking for crystal clear waters, white-sand beaches, and good food and drinks, then Playacar beach is the place for you. You can accompany all this with the most beautiful views, as well. This beach is located just in front of the Playacar gated community. Although Playacar is accessible only to residents and tourists renting within the community, everyone can reach the beach through Señor Frogs right off Fifth Avenue.
The Palm Hotel Rooftop, Playa del Carmen
The Palm Hotel is located right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Found on 8th Street between Fifth and 10th Avenues, this place is home to a beautiful Roof Club. It offers some of the best views in the city, overlooking the famous Fifith Avenue. You also get stunning views across to the island of Cozumel. There is no entrance fee, but you are expected to pay for food and drinks while you are there. This place is great to come around sunset. You can enjoy the pool and get some amazing sky lights as the sun sets. Once it’s dark, the lighting is perfect for an early evening cocktail. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are open from 11am to 8pm. If you are looking to swith it up from the beach to a pool with a view, head on over to the Palm Hotel.
