The Rocky Point Rally 2022
The favorite event of Puerto Peñasco is coming back tomorrow. From November 10th through November 13th, thousands of bikers meet at this beautiful place to have fun and contribute a lot of money to charity organizations.
Twenty-one years ago, Oscar Palacio started this traditional rally. In the first years, only a few hundred motorcycles went. It was just stopping them on the highway to get a donation and give them a wristband for them and the bike.
An annual traditional Rally
The rally became an annual tradition that now reunites 10,000 motorcycles every year. Bikers come from several Mexican and American states, such as Arizona, Baja, California, California, Chihuahua, Nevada, New Mexico, and Sonora.
Evidently, this rally is a well-known event among riders who meet here to enjoy the great atmosphere. Thus, many brotherhoods were born here throughout the years.
Giving back to the community
The primary purpose of this event is to raise funds for various charities and organizations as a service to the community of Rocky Point. Some of these organizations are the Red Cross, Fire Department, Casa Hogar La Montana and the Cancer Association George Papanicolaou.
When does it start?
Since today you may see participants arriving in groups of 5 to 20 riders to the different meeting places.
The best part is that this event is not only for bikers but also for all kinds of people. Locals and tourists also gather at the events around the rally, motorcycle exhibitions, shows, and especially the famous parade as an essential feature of Rocky Point Rally.
In the Malecon area, you can enjoy a great atmosphere with excellent music, exquisite food, and drinks. There are also amazing demonstrations of acrobatics, techniques, and abilities with the bikes.
The program
- November 10th: Registration, Charity Poker Run, Boat Cruise, Kick-off Bike Night.
- Nov 11th: Registration, Charity Poker Run, Pinacate Biosphere Desert Ride, Boat Cruise. Finally, Beach Party Fiesta at Playa Bonita with music from Mogollon from 5–8 pm.
- November 12th: Bike Parade around the city, Bike Show, Bike Wash, Fiesta, Boat Cruise
- Nov 13th: Fiesta in the Old Port and see you next year. For your enjoyment, there will be bands playing at most of the bars on Sandy Beach and the Malecon.
