Rumors about a Tesla factory in Mexico have circulated for months. However, the uncertainty is finally over as the American automotive and energy company got the green light from Mexican president; Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, to deploy an electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. 

It should be noted that Mexico being the center stage for major automotive investment is nothing new. Proof of this are the several transnational automobile firms that have already settled in this territory over the last decade. Therefore,  everyone is anticipating Elon Musk’s ambitious plans for Northern Mexico.
