Growing Connectivity at Tulum Airport

Tulum, a popular tourist destination in Mexico, is now more accessible than ever. Thanks to the new routes introduced at the Tulum Mexico Airport, officially known as Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport. With increasing direct flights from various North American cities, including Toronto, Calgary, Los Angeles, and New York, the Tulum airport significantly enhances its connectivity and convenience for travelers.

Direct Flights from Canada to Tulum Mexico

On May 3rd, Tulum Airport welcomed its first direct flight from Canada, a significant milestone operated by Air Canada from Toronto and Montreal. This new service includes two non-stop flights per week, greatly enhancing the travel options for tourists and business travelers alike. The direct flights are expected to benefit not just Tulum, but the entire southern region of Quintana Roo by expanding the tourism and business offerings between Quintana Roo and Canada. This direct service from Canada reinforces Quintana Roo’s commitment to international tourism and opens up more opportunities for visitors to explore the rural areas, cultural heritage, historical sites, cuisine, and crafts of the region.

Additionally, WestJet has announced new seasonal flights from Calgary and Toronto starting November 9, 2024. These flights will run weekly from Calgary and three times a week from Toronto until April 27, 2025. Furthermore, WestJet Vacations is offering vacation packages to 35 prominent hotels near the Tulum Mexico Airport, making it easier for Canadians to enjoy their stay.

Direct Flights from USA to Tulum Mexico

The United States is also well-connected to Tulum. United Airlines has recently launched a new route from Los Angeles to Tulum, operating daily with Boeing 737 aircraft. This seasonal route, part of their summer schedule, adds to their existing services from Houston, Newark, and Chicago, bringing their total weekly flights to Tulum to 28. This expansion is part of a broader effort by the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council to boost Tulum’s air connectivity.

JetBlue will start direct flights from New York to Tulum on June 13, 2024, utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft. This new route offers more flexibility for travelers from the East Coast. Meanwhile, American Airlines has increased its flight frequencies to Tulum from Dallas, Charlotte, and Miami beginning March 28, 2024. This expansion positions American Airlines as the leading U.S. airline operating in Tulum, with multiple daily flights providing convenient options for travelers.

Impact on Tulum Real Estate

This surge in connectivity is not only beneficial for tourism but also for Tulum real estate. Easier access to the region will likely drive up demand for properties. Making it an ideal time for potential buyers to explore Tulum listings. As more travelers discover the convenience of flying directly to Tulum, the appeal of owning property in this beautiful destination increases.

Investors are taking note of Tulum’s growing popularity and enhanced accessibility. The rise in direct flights means more people will be looking for vacation rentals, making it a lucrative market for those who own rental properties. Additionally, the consistent influx of tourists creates business opportunities. Catering to these visitors further boosts the local economy and real estate market.

Furthermore, the wide variety of flights available makes Tulum an appealing choice for retirees. Improved air travel connections reduce travel time. Which makes it easier for them to stay connected with family and friends back home.

Conclusion

Tulum’s airport is transforming the region’s connectivity with new flights from Canada and the USA. This growth not only benefits travelers but also boosts the local economy and real estate market.
