Cozumel Cruise Ship Visits Continue Strongly in January 2009

Cozumel, Mexico–

Many of the people who write to me or call me up to ask about our Cozumel real estate market or business activity on the island will need to have information on the cruise ship industry Our port receives the most amount of cruise ships than any other Caribbean port Mexico and non Mexican.

The tourists so far this year, are arriving in strong numbers on our Mexican Caribbean island of Cozumel. On a weekly basis it is projected Cozumel will host the following cruise ships and tourists as follows:

Monday 2 cruise ships in port

Tuesday 5 cruise ships in port

Wednesday 4 cruise ships in port

Thursday 5 cruise ships in port

Friday 5 cruise ships in port

Saturday 4 cruise ships in port

These ships will bring approximately 65,000 passengers to the Cozumel island streets on average. The spending dollar paid out by these visitors is estimated to be around $5,620,000 per week. These are rough estimates but are good figures to follow for people who are interested in investments or simply figures to know when making a Real Estate purchase here in Cozumel.
