Here’s a List of All You Need to Pack for Paradise!

Is in your plans to visit Mexico either for vacations or to check out your new home? Packing up all your stuff can be tough, even just packing for a week vacation can seem stressful too. You lay out your suitcase, and wonder – am I going to have enough space to put all this stuff inside? Also, forgetting to pack basic stuff is a mistake that happens to everyone.

What works really good when packing to go somewhere is to create a checklist. Ponder over a few days as to what you will need in paradise and what you cannot live without packing. Each day you think of something, write it down on your list. This will help you figure out everything important that you need to bring with you.

Don’t worry if you end up forgetting something. Mexico has a lot of stores that you would be familiar with. Actually, there is a Wal-Mart and Costco here in Mexico and they sell anything and everything.

What to pack for paradise

Essentials to pack for paradise:

  • Cell phone
  • Sunscreen
  • Electronic chargers
  • Camera
  • Sunglasses
  • Hygiene products
  • Passport
  • Drivers license
  • Medication (if applicable)
  • Bathing Suits
  • Clothing
  • Books
  • Sandals and good shoes
  • Sunglasses
  • Tripod
  • Headphones
  • Travel journal
  • Luggage documents incase of lost luggage

The items included above are basic necessities. Most of the items you can purchase from any city here in Mexico, so don’t worry if you end up forgetting something. When it comes to electronics in Mexico, they tend to be more expensive than in Canada or United States. Therefore we would recommend not waiting to purchase your electronics when you arrive to Mexico.

As you probably know, getting stuff shipped to Mexico is not an easy task. Nonetheless, Mexico is working on their shipping services but as of now it’s very expensive to ship things down to Mexico and sometimes it takes a few weeks to receive your items. Therefore, we would not precisely recommend doing that. All your personal documents, like your passport and health insurance are something you do not want to forget or leave anywhere. Keep these important documents always close to you. Your identification is very important, so you will want to store that in a very safe place!

What to pack for paradise

Don’t waste money, save it for paradise!

There are many boutique shops all over Mexico that sell beautifully designed clothes; such as bathing suits, t-shirts, hats and other clothing items. So we would recommend not packing your suitcase right full, in case you want to bring some things back home with you. Make sure you are aware of luggage restrictions when packing, and don’t forget to put any liquids that are over 100 ml in your luggage and not your carry on bags. This will save you from having to throw that stuff out at the airport.

Remember to always do a checklist including all your belongings and stuff you consider you will use. Also, in case you’re visiting the Riviera Maya, don’t forget to pack all the items you might need to go to the beach. This will make you’re trip easier and even better!

If you have any questions regarding real estate in the Riviera Maya, please let us know! We’ll be happy to help you. Remember, at Top Mexico Real Estate… We make it happen!
