We touched base on the safety, which is one thing that draws retirees to Mexico. Also health care is another big one. Each city in the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula has incredible doctors that are at your disposal. It is not like in Canada or America where you either have to wait for weeks or pay thousands and thousands of dollars. You get good care for a good price.
What about the fact that you are walking distance to the beach where everything is located within the town limits. This is one reason most expats and retirees move to Playa del Carmen, Tulum and any of the big towns here in the Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula. If you live in Mexico, you are going to want to be close to that white sand. We don’t blame you!
