The Frequent Pet Traveler program is now available in Cancun International Airport. As a result, you can now bring your pet with you when you travel easier than ever. Let’s take a look at how this program works!
The Frequent Pet Traveler program aims to accommodate those who travel with their pets often. Also, to make life easier on you – including entering and leaving the country! The application includes a separate paper that is attached to your pet’s health certificate. Your reliable vet must issue and approve your pet’s health certificate. On that paper you will see all your pet’s details about their current up to date shots. You must transact this document less than 6 months before you come to Mexico.
After registering your pet for the Frequent Pet Traveler Program, you will receive an official document for you and your pet. This will include all their vaccinations and an up-to-date bill of health for your animal. Nobody wants to travel with an animal that is not healthy, or be around one for that matter. It’s important to always keep up with getting your pet’s shots. Also, remember to make sure your pets are healthy and stable enough to travel.
To receive the document that certifies the entry of pets into the country, it is necessary to present a certificate of good health of the animal. This document must be valid for 15 days after being issued by an official veterinarian. In addition, it has to be on letterhead with the doctor’s medical certificate.
The Frequent Pet Traveler Program will help you save time!
If you are someone who visits Mexico quite often with your pet, then you are in luck. You will not have to fill out a piece of paper for your pet each time you bring it to Mexico. This will minimize time at the airport and worrying about your pet and whether they will get into the country or not. It’s never a bad thing to do your research and make sure you know all the required documents needed in order to bring your pet with you. The first time you fill out the information, it will get imputed into a database, where officials will be able to look up that information for the next time.
You will not have to pay any fee to enter this program. However, you will need to register at one of “SENASICA” central offices to join the Frequent Pet Traveler program. Our job is to minimize work for our visitors here from all over the world. Why worry about bringing your pet to Mexico when you don’t have to!
