Today let’s talk about the color green! It’s a color that we are lucky to see year round in Tulum and also a widely integrated word when speaking about Tulum real estate.
Besides being the home of white sand beaches and blue and turquoise colored waters, Tulum is surrounded by natural greenry and nature in its jungle setting. Tropical palm trees, grass and illuminating green colored cenotes all make Tulum sparkle.

For this reason there is special ecological attention placed on the area to protect nature and the beautiful natural surroundings.
With the green movement and a desire for ecological preservation, the National Association of Realtors Green Recourse Council has expressed a genuine interest in helping area brokers, agents and local architects in the Tulum region to become Green Certified.
National Association of Realtors Green Certification Program in Tulum!
The Green Certification is a special credential given, and recognized, by the National Association of Realtors for those who have completed extensive training on energy efficiency and ecological awareness.
In order to receive this credential you must have completed all courses and training which are divided into 3 sectors. After each course one must pass a test in order to move on to the next course, and must pass each test to ultimately receive final certification.
This program has done extremely well in the United States and now soon to be introduced in the beautiful Riviera Maya, making the possibility for greener and more energy efficient Tulum Real Estate options; benefiting new homebuyers and the planet!
There are currently plans in the works to bring certified NAR Green training instructors to Tulum this June 2014. We, at Top Mexico Real Estate, are happy and proud to be a part of the plan to make this happen! We have been working closely with Jeff Hornberger, from NAR Global, who has had sincere motivation to bring the certification to the Riviera Maya this June 2014.
During each course offered, area architects along with master brokers will learn new techniques on how to build efficiently to save energy and respect the natural environment.

The beauty of the Riviera Maya and Tulum is stemmed from nature. Our goal is to keep the Riviera Maya as pure as it always has been. Area growth should not affect ecology if done so in the proper way.
