A professional real estate agent will listen to your needs and show you a variety of options, but after a few open houses, properties might all start to look the same. It seems that having so many options can be tiresome and confusing, but we are here to help.
In our experience, finding the right house for you is more an emotional response, how do you know you have found the one? We have compiled a list of classic signs that indicate you have found the right place.
5 Signs that you have found your new home:
- You can’t wait to get inside the house.
From the moment your realtor pulls up to the curb and you are hoping that is the house you are about to see. There is something about that place that appeals to you and makes you feel welcome.
- It feels like home as soon as you enter:
Within a few minutes of entering the property you feel right at home, it feels warm, comforting and inviting and you cannot wait to explore the rest of the place. You might imagine how your furniture will fit or what color scheme you will use, but still it feels just right.
- You Are Possessive About the House
Maybe your agent points out a flaw and says, “There is a stain in the kitchen sink,” and you want to slap their face for saying something so mean about this house. You want to defend every flaw you see. If you even see the flaws, because right now, flaws do not matter.
- You Want to Stop Looking at Other Homes
All of the other homes you’ve been looking at no longer appeal to you. The homes on that list you’ve been carrying around seem insignificant. Moreover, the homes you had previously liked seem to disappear from your mind, they seen pale in comparison. You would feel like a traitor if you went to see other homes.
