My name is Thomas Hellyer, the owner and broker of Chapala Realtors. Our office is located in the pueblo magico of Ajijic, on the shores of Lake Chapala. Chapala Realtors opened in 2018, and it has quickly become one of the largest and most respected firms lakeside.
I am originally from Lake Chelan in Washington state. I have been living in Mexico since 1993, mostly in Guadalajara in the early days and full time in Chapala since 2008.
I consider myself a bi-cultural expert with a strong analytical aptitude combined with a calm, forthright, and honest demeanor. My command of the Spanish language and the intricacies of Mexican real estate allow me to guide my clients through the process of making their dreams of living or investing in Mexico an exciting reality.
I received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington, Tacoma, with an International Business concentration. I also obtained my real estate license from Washington in 2007. In January 2009, I became a full-time real estate agent in Chapala.
I am a Rotarian, and I work with many charitable causes. I adore my wife, Iliana, and my three children. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, adding to my Tequila Blanco collection, and spending time with family.
