As was pointed out on Wednesday, yesterday I was in Cuernavaca for the swearing-in ceremony of AMPI’s 2013 board of directors. (AMPI = Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals.) Along with Linda Neil, with whom I look forward to accomplishing a good deal of progress during 2013, part of my purpose here has been to start on the work of building the international connections necessary for the next step forward in professionalism for the Mexico real estate industry.
Over the next few days, I’m just going to introduce some of the key players in this new international direction for Mexico real estate – people whom I had the pleasure of spending time with and sharing ideas with here in Cuernavaca this week.
Today, I’ll start with Linda Neil.
Linda Neil
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Linda Neil for a many years now; she is Top Mexico Real Estate’s member broker for La Paz. With well over three decades of experience in the industry, she has made innumerable contributions to and been a leader in the La Paz real estate area, in professionalism in Mexico on a national level, and – most recently – in the new international bridges which we will be building for the industry this year and in years to come.
The Settlement Company, of which she is the founder as Mexico’s first title and escrow company has been in business for over 20 years.
She was a founding member of the La Paz and Cabos chapters of AMPI.
She is currently Presidential Liaison from NAR to Mexico (specifically AMPI) and Head of the International Commission of AMPI.
This is only a very, very brief overview of her accomplishments and contributions to professionalism in Mexico’s real estate industry.
It was certainly a pleasure to see Linda again here in Cuernavaca and take the opportunity to discuss our work together this year in the International Commission as we build international connections.
Thomas Lloyd graduated from Purdue University Krannert School of Management with a degree in Management/Financial Option Investments. He has been living, investing, and working professionally in Mexico for over 16 years.
