Tulum Beachfront Homes – Mexican Luxury on Another Level

While Mexico homes come in all shapes, sizes, styles and prices, there are a handful which offer a luxury lifestyle at its best; one Tulum beachfront home, Casa Ina Tan Kanab, is an excellent example of this, and just as importantly, is currently for sale at well below the price that a property like this is really worth – with a 36% price reduction!

The town of Tulum also provides benefits for buyers looking for luxury.  The town is currently small, and has a distinct small community atmosphere, which has placed it on a list to be considered for “Magic Town” status – an official recognition from a federal program in Mexico which promotes and invests in towns such as this one.

 

While rapid growth is expected for Tulum real estate in the near future, a municipal plan has been designed to allow for low-density sustainable development, and to retain the small town atmosphere with new village center areas.  The new airport which is in planning stages will promote this growth, bringing new services, increased rental demand and hence increased value to homes such as this one in Akumal.  Akumal will remain a quaint village while enjoying new services nearby.

 

In the meantime, most services, as well as a thriving nightlife, can be found in Playa del Carmen, about 40 minutes away.  Many activities, including world-class golf, marinas and theme parks are available between Akumal and Playa del Carmen.  About an hour and 15 minutes away is the Cancun International Airport.

 

While some luxury homes in Akumal with this ideal combination of features – location, design, size and lifestyle – are being sold for around 2 million dollars, this home was listed at only 1.4 million.  It has been reduced from this price to $899,000 by a very motivated seller!
