The first time Bob met hall of fame golfer Nick Price was during the 1993 U.S. Open at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N. J. It was the result of a brief introduction following a practice round, and it lasted perhaps ten seconds. “Nice to meet you, Nick…nice to meet you, Bobâ€â€¦ end of story.
Yesterday, Bob met Price for the second time, during ceremonies at the opening of Price’s new golf course that will be the focal point to the new Playa del Carmen Condos for sale at Grand Coral, scheduled to be completed in 2012. Standing next to Price during a photo-op Bob said “nice to see you again, Nick, you may recall we met during the ’93 Open at Baltusrolâ€. For a split second Nick’s face said this guy can’t be serious, but then suddenly broke into Price’s famous grin and he said “absolutely, Bob, great to see you again…it’s been eighteen years…how’ve you beenâ€? This easily confirmed Price’s long standing reputation as a genuinely good guy, with a great sense of humor.
Shortly thereafter, the official opening was hosted in the spectacular new Club House by Quintana Roo Governor Felix Gonzalez Canto and the Director of Grupo Grand Coral, Jordy Mercer. Following his remarks, the governor signaled for window coverings to be dramatically opened, revealing the panoramic view of the 18th hole from the clubhouse that was greeted with cheers and applause. Thus was revealed the completed third phase of the two billion dollar Grand Coral Riviera Maya resort and residential complex.
Currently under construction adjacent to the first and second holes of the golf course, these Playa del Carmen properties called the Nick Price Residences will include 123 condominium units in three buildings. Buyers  will enjoy all the facilities at the spectacular Grand Coral complex, including golf course membership, access to the club house and pool, and to the right-on-the-ocean Beach Club with its beach facilities, two swimming pools and restaurant and bar.
