Mexico Beachfront Markets Benefit from High Hotel Occupancy at Easter

Filed Under: Cancun Real Estate, Mazatlan Real Estate, Playa del Carmen Real Estate, Puerto Vallarta Real Estate, Riviera Maya Real Estate

Some of the favorite destinations for Mexico beachfront for sale such as Cancun, the Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan, reached nearly 100 percent of their hotel capacity during the Easter holidays.  Because of the many benefits which tourism investment brings to real estate buyers, this is excellent news for buyers interested in Cancun real estate, Playa del Carmen real estate and the other markets.

In addition to the places mentioned, Baja California Sur (La Paz and Cabo San Lucas), Mexico state, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Guerrero reported high levels of hotel occupancy.

The Ministry of Tourism reports that during the first week of this holiday period, the main destinations of Mexico recorded hotel occupancy well above 90 percent.

The destinations most in demand were the beachfront communities mentioned above.

Los Cabos reported hotel occupancy above 90 percent.  The state of Chiapas reported more than 86 percent in occupancy, and Rocky Point was above 85 percent.

Numbers such as these confirm for real estate buyers that Mexico’s tourism continues to be strong and grow at a health rate.  Activities offered for tourists offer a very attractive part of lifestyle for expats who choose to live in Mexico full or part time.

I experienced this firsthand – it was almost impossible to get reservations for our vacation to Mexico this year. Guess that\’s what I get for procrastinating!
