Buying in Mexico From a Distance – Use of Technology & Good Communication

Published on: Feb 13 2013 by Thomas Lloyd

Buying real estate in MexicoWhen a broker refers a client to another broker who will guide them in buying Mexico real estate, after establishing a firm basis of professionalism and experience, he will also want to ensure that the broker in question has a solid communication system and etiquette; extensive use of the latest technology combines well with a real commitment to clients to make communication work effectively.

The Trial Run …

First of all, a broker can test the communication of the office in Mexico simply by their own first contact.  Basic questions like how quickly they reply and their dedication to finding the right information as soon as possible can be seen even at this point.  Any broker will know how important these items are, but they are that much more important when buying in another country.

Once a broker has seen that the office in Mexico responds quickly with satisfactory information, they will want to do some homework and check what technology they use; for buying at a distance the latest technology can transform high dedication into the best of efficiency and satisfaction for the buyer in question.

Brokers should ask about the following items:

  • Online Listings – extensive and easy to use
  • Photo Galleries – in electronic format that can easily be shared
  • Videos – if a picture is worth a 1000 words, than a video is worth at least a 1000 pictures
  • Brochure/Info PDFs
  • Maps – property locations on Google Maps, which are interactive and easy to use
  • E-mail
  • Texting
  • Video ChatSkype or a similar program
  • Smart Phones – bundles everything listed above in a nice handy, portable cell phone

While buyers could get by without most of these items buying in their home city, they do a heck of a lot to make a property search at a 2000 mile distance, easier, more efficient, and – most importantly – more likely to produce the final result of the buyers owning the property of their dreams.
