Mexico Real Estate Owners in Baja California to Enjoy Wine Museum

Filed Under: Cabo Real Estate, La Paz Real Estate, Living and Retirement, Living in Mexico, Mexico Culture, Mexico Festivals and Events, Rocky Point Real Estate

Mexico real estate owners in the northern area of Baja California will now be enjoying a wine museum!  The museum is located close to Tijuana, Rosarito Beach, Ensenada, and the U.S. Border.  It is also only a couple of hours drive away from the Rocky Point real estate area, which is considered “Arizona’s beachfront.”

The following is the article from the Mexico Report:

President Felipe Calderon has officially inaugurated Baja California’s Wine Museum, Museo del Vino.

Calderon also announced a $3.8 million fund for Mexico’s wine region, Guadalupe Valley, reports the UT San Diego.  He said he hopes the museum and fun will bring more tourism to the region, as well as acknowledgement for the country’s wines.

“We want this to truly become one of most visited regions of Mexico,” Calderon said in the inauguration.

Some of the highlights of the museum include interactive displays, meeting rooms, and an outdoor amphitheater to teach the public about Guadalupe Valley’s wines. The region produces more than 90 percent of the country’s wine.

Also taking place in this region during the president’s visit is the Fiestas de la Vendimia, Baja California’s annual harvest celebration that lasts through Aug. 19 and includes concerts, dinners, and wine tastings at the different wineries.

Unfortunately, the site for the museum is only in English, so far; fortunately you can enjoy nice wine from this region throughout the country at very good prices!  Baja California is also home to the La Paz real estate and Cabo real estate areas, known for their beautiful beaches, as well as many old Spanish Missions and plenty of splendid nature.
