Playa del Carmen’s pedestrian-only 5th Avenue is the region’s premier shopping district. This ultra-chic shopping destination runs parallel to the Caribbean Sea is best known by it´s Spanish name, ¨La Quinta Avenida¨. It´s right in the heart of Playa del Carmen´s downtown neighborhood and is filled with a wide assortment of restaurants, hotels, condos, shops and lounges.

This new mall can be found on 5th Avenue between 12th and 14th Street. It´s a modern four-story building that is also home to Thor Urbana’s new 92-room Thompson Playa del Carmen Hotel. Shoppers can enjoy prestigious shops such as H & M, Hollister, Bath & Body Works, and many others. There are also restaurants, bars and cafes like Neve Gelato, Nunnys, Starbucks, and many more.
Quinta Alegria
Located on 5th Avenue corner on Constituyentes Avenue, this mall is very popular due to its central location. It´s beautifully designed with easy access and an open design that allows for a break from the heat with cool breezes blowing throughout the entire structure. In this mall you will find prestigious stores such as Nike, Levi, Bebe or Forever 21. Many people come here to relax and enjoy a  coffee at Starbucks or a meal on the patio of Sanborns department store on the 2nd level.
