On our way to Campeche: stop to eat Codorniz

Have you eaten Codorniz? or Borrego?

After 3 or 4 hours of driving thru little towns in our way to Campeche, we start geting hungry and decide start looking for a place to eat.  We pass tru a little town, but noting look appealing, and  then, just at an intersection where we needed to turn, a big place that says “Codorniz, Conejo y Borrego”.  Suddenly, Bill exclam “Stop, let’s eat here!  I love borrego!”.

It was a beautiful garden where they have Mamey and Lima trees. The tables where in little palapas in between the trees. Every thing clean and very organized. A very nice and clean  waiter arrived to ask us what we wanted to drink.  They had all kinds of flavor water plus beer and sodas.  The menu was hanging in a big “lona” behind us: Codorniz and Conejo (quail and rabbit) where the main dishes, but also have Borrego, and for desert all kinds of ice cream.

The food was delicious, the desert incredible and the road waiting for us, so after giving Liam and Tanya a little bit of time to run and climb on some trees, we get back to the car and keep our trip to Campeche.
