While international buyers are just beginning to show interest in real estate in the Gulf coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, a couple of Campeche condo developments have already begun to appear. The furthest advanced has already begun to deliver properties. It is condo-golf-marina development, just south of the city of Campeche, near a town called Champoton.

Besides the luxury of golf and a marina directly in the development, the town has also begun developing its potential, renovating its waterfront boardwalk, and cleaning up its commercial area, with some interesting little restaurants. In this development, condos are starting around $500,000 truly high-end luxury in one of Mexico's most promising up-and-coming tourist areas.

In early 2010, another golf and residential country club was announced, to be developed on the highway between Campeche and Merida. While full details have not yet been released, both of these Campeche preconstruction projects will offer condos in the luxury market.

It is also certain that as time goes on, demand will rise, more Campeche condos for sale will begin to appear on the market, and as tourism increases opportunities for income from rentals will also increase. Owning a condo in what is perhaps Mexico's most promising up-and-coming tourist and real estate market shows signs of excellent investment potential for the near future.
