The Zona Diamante neighborhood is approximately a 15 minute drive from the town of Playa del Carmen. This neighborhood is spread out between the Grand Coral Resort to the Selvamar Residences, a gated community of several gated developments, including El Cielo Residencial and other smaller housing estates. The Neighborhood is made up of condos, family homes both large and small. In the beachfront part of the neighbrohood there are a couple of hotels and a condo hotel. One of the main attractions of this area is the Xcalacoco beach, this beach offers tranquil surrounding with only a handful of beach bars and grills which makes it easy to find a quiet place for meditation and relaxation. The beach bars in Zona Diamante are open until late and offer a large menu selection of beverages and food, such as Coco Cabanas that offer a range of Mexican and European dishes but is known more for their stone oven pizza or Petite Lafitte Bar and Grill that has more of a surf and turf menu. All the residential areas in the Zona Diamante Neighborhood have quick and easy access to the Carretera Federal, the main highway in Playa del Carmen, making your trip to into downtown fast and trouble free.
