Most people can picture Cancun’s beachfront, and many can remember a great vacation spent there.  But as for the lifestyle offered as a part of day-to-day life for those who buy Cancun real estate, it might be harder to imagine what relaxation like this would like.  Here are some important features that will help to define living in Cancun.

The Beaches – This is, of course, the same as the famous images of Cancun’s Hotel Zone, or the place people experience on those wonderful vacations.  The beaches are wide, with soft, warm sand.  The warm water is beautiful to look at with its turquoise color, and also great for a dip, or just walking in the sand while the waves lap up on your feet.  Now, just image that this is your daily evening walk, rather than a once-a-year vacation …

Beautiful Condos – The hotels are nice, but imagine owning a condo that you’ve decorated and furnished just the way you like it, with a large window overlooking the Caribbean – not to mention the balcony.  Condos in Cancun are modern with high-quality finishes.  The complexes are also beautiful with amenities like lounge areas, pools and even gyms and spas.

Malls & Modern Stores – Cancun has become the center of Latin America’s most important tourism region.  This means that many modern services have appeared including modern shopping malls, international stores like Walmart and big-name restaurant chains.  There are also professional golf courses and high-quality hospitals.

Excellent Air Access – Part of this same position in the tourism world has helped Cancun’s international airport become the second busiest in Mexico; it is currently emerging as a main hub between North America, South America and Europe.  This means that there are frequent direct flights to all major North American airports, as well as many other locations.  The prices of the flights are also very good and becoming better as demand from tourism brings new discount airlines.

Low Cost of Living – The cost of living is usually considered to be about half that of back home.  While there are a handful of items that cost the same, or even just a little more, the vast majority of expenses such as groceries, utilities, taxes, transportation, dining out and traveling all cost significantly less. Most people notice some price differences as tourists, but once they actually settle down and live in Cancun, the find the ins and outs of the community, and savings abound even more.

Vacationing in Cancun is a good foretaste of what life in Cancun will be like; living here is similar, but with the benefits even more significant!
