New highway bridges have made the route to the city’s 2 malls a very easy drive of 10 minutes. This is about the same distance to the heart of downtown where a European atmosphere defines high-taste dining and shopping and a lively nightlife.

The prices start below $150,000 USD, which is much less than Americans and Canadians can consider in high-demand areas back home, especially for a nice condo.
The cost of living is low
The cost of living in Playa del Carmen is also very low compared to back home. Everything from groceries to taxes to healthcare costs noticeably less. Trips to and from home (by means of the cancun international airport,) are also direct, short and affordable.
