One of key attractions of Cancun Real Estate is, of course, living right next to some of the world's most beautiful beaches, with their famous soft white sand and turquoise blue water. This top Mexico Beachfront real estate destination is about to get even better beaches; the government is currently investing large amounts to re-build Cancun's beaches, restoring some areas that have been washed away somewhat, and overall widening the beaches to make them more comfortable, adding more usable space to the beaches. While the plans for restoration have been in the news for a while, the exciting part is that work has now actually begun. The work began on Saturday, October 31 the work began to rebuild Cancun's beaches with1.5 million cubic meters of sand. The sand being used is being extracted from an area near Cancun known as "La Ollita" and certain parts of Cancun's beaches are already being filled. The first strip to receive its new beach is between the hotel "Le Blanc" and Punta Cancun. The first few days of work were personally supervised by the governor of the state of Quintana Roo, indicating the importance the government puts on the project. The work is expected to advance quickly; with work continuing 24 hours a day, the first stage is expected to be complete within 3 weeks, meaning Cancun Real Estate will soon be enjoying its newly expanded beaches. A condo on the beachfront does not get better than Cancun. And now, these considerably more spacious beaches add just one more reason to buy real estate in Cancun.
