Ajijic has a particular range of restaurants and places where traditional Mexican dishes are a delight, such as "carne al pastor" – meat roasted on a rotating skewer, similar to the Mideastern kebab, charbroiled meat in mango leaves, a fruit-based sauce called "pico de gallo," seafood and international cuisine. Or if you are in the mood for a snack or light dinner, Mexican "antojitos" – quesadillas, etc. – can be found here at their best.
