With Mexico's new focus on tourism, Mexico Condos on the beachfront will be among the first real estate to benefit, especially the Cancun Real Estate market, which is closely tied to the thriving tourism market which has created and defined Cancun.

When you arrive at the Mexico beachfront as vacationers, it is the combination of luxury and relaxation on Cancun's wide, soft white beaches, with their turquoise blue water that catches your attention, and makes you consider the possibility of either relocating to Cancun, or buying a vacation condo.

Other than the fact that it as tourists that you first fall in love with Cancun and conceive the idea of living in a condo here, the real estate industry is closely tied to tourism in several other ways. The high level of popularity of Cancun with tourists is what makes investment in Cancun's excellent infrastructure possible – well kept up roads, shopping malls, restaurants, clubs, etc. all find their basis in the tourism industry, which is at its best in Cancun; and even more importantly, the newly widened beaches, which are up to 300 ft wide!

In addition to this, those of us who own condos only for our vacations have the possibility of renting them out to other vacationers while we're not using them – a potentially good source of income to balance the expenses of owning a condo.

This is why it's so important for you, if you are considering buying a condo in Cancun, that the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, recently confirmed his government's ongoing commitment to investing in tourism, especially naming Cancun as one of the places of special focus.

"Tourism is a key industry for Mexico's economy," said Calderon, "for the momentum of economic recovery and, also, crucially, employment and development of Mexico."

During his administration, Calderon has already shown this commitment to tourism through investment in real, visible projects. One clearly beneficial project for Cancun is the newly widened beachfront for vacationers and condo owners alike to enjoy. Another example is the support for the second runway project in the International Airport, which is facilitating Cancun's new focus on becoming an international travel and business convention hub – this will likewise bring new interest to the Cancun condo market, and bring new real estate and investment opportunities.

In the Riviera Maya near Cancun, bridges are being built on the Cancun-Tulum federal highway through places like Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras, making weekend outings to the Tulum area more convenient. In Tulum itself, another international airport was just announced (the beginning of the bidding process), which will bring even further tourism and real estate opportunities to this state.

If you are considering buying a condo on the beachfront in Mexico, buying in Cancun is one of the most promising options for you. Mexico is putting a 150% effort into tourism investment these days, and Cancun condo owners can only win from this situation.
