Have you been to Puerto Aventuras beach in the Riviera Maya? If not, it might be a good idea to start planning a trip – at least if you love beaches, boating and golf.  The part that makes Puerto Aventuras unique among the beaches in the Riviera Maya is this combination of excellent lifestyle features.  Let’s take a look at each of the main lifestyle features that Puerto Aventuras offers – and you can decide for yourself if it’s worth the visit!

Beaches – Like the rest of the Riviera Maya, Puerto Aventuras’ beaches are wide, white and sandy.  The Caribbean beyond is a wonderful turquoise colour, and the water is warm – always!  The nice thing is that the residential areas and hotel areas are within a comfortable walk of the beaches.

Marinas – Puerto Aventuras is home to 3 well-designed, beautiful marinas.  If you are boat lover, you will have the benefit of mooring your yacht or fishing boat at your doorstep – whether you are staying in a hotel or you own your own condo.  Even if you couldn’t care much for boats, there’s something picturesque and even romantic about the views of the sails and water in the setting of an upscale community.

Golf – Back from the beachfront there is a nice golf course which was recently expanded from 9 to 18 holes.  The golf course is likewise picturesque and within close access to the rest of the community.

Residential/Hotel Areas – The community is primarily residential, with some very nice hotels.  The homes are beautifully designed, the condos are comfortable and the community is very green, secure and safe.  It is a gated community with a culture that allows you to leave your bike parked on the sidewalk without a chain – safely!

Shopping Areas & Services – Puerto Aventuras is more like a small town than a gated community.  It has shopping areas, restaurants, a school and even a church.  There are also activities like swimming with the dolphins.  People staying or living here can find all the basics, so they can spend their time on the beach, boating and playing golf.

Easy Access – Puerto Aventuras is about an hour from the Cancun International Airport, which is very well connected.  The entrance is right off the main federal highway, and the roads are nicely laid out and planned.

So what do you think? Are you ready to plan a visit?  I can guarantee you – you won’t regret it!
