When we, here at Top Mexico Real Estate, recently re-discovered the upscale condo complex called “Quadra Alea Condos” downtown Playa del Carmen, we evaluated it on several aspects of appeal. One of these aspects was for retirement lifestyle. We feel it is an excellent choice for retirement, and the following are our reasons.
Walking Distance to the Beach
There’s the saying out there that the first three rules of real estate are “location, location and location;” while this is definitely an oversimplification of the factors that can determine the best real estate choice for a given buyer, location is one of the most important points, and Quadra Alea definitely has location in its favor as a retirement community (and otherwise), in a big way. First and foremost, it is within a very short walk to Playa del Carmen’s beautiful sandy beaches with warm water. At the closest beach, there is also a very nice and trendy beach club.
Walking Distance to all Services
Another point in location is that just about anything else that a retiree would want for day to day life is within short walking distance; Fifth Avenue (the pedestrian walkway running parallel to the beach) includes cafes, restaurants, pizza shops, gelaterias, clothing stores, cigar shops and much more. Within a few blocks there are also large supermarkets, local fruit markets, bakeries, good clinics, banks … the list could on.
Spacious, Well-Designed Units
Within a good location, it’s important to have an attractive, comfortable property. Each unit in Quadra Alea is very spacious (probably the most spacious to be found downtown) and nicely laid out for full enjoyment of space and views.
Comfortable Complex & Amenities
The complex is also comfortable with nice green areas, pools, a gym and a spa. Underground parking keeps cars safe and out of the sun, and there is an elevator from each building down to the parking area for very easy access. While Quadra Alea has all the benefits of being very well located downtown Playa del Carmen, it offers a quiet oasis where retirees can forget that they’re so close to all the action.
Excellent Prices
Quadra Alea offers the best price per square foot downtown Playa, and one of the best in the entire region; this is especially significant considering the amenities included in the area and the complex itself, together with the visually attractive design.
In our opinion, any retiree considering the beachfront should investigate the possibility of Quadra Alea.
