Playa del Carmen is located on the Caribbean side of the Yucatan Peninsula, just south of Cancun. Although not directly on the beachfront, a condo in this location will enjoy very short walking distance to Fifth Avenue, the beach, Walmart, many little taco shops and restaurants, and a variety of shops. Rooftop pools and patios also provide views of the ocean and Cozumel.
Whether you are buying luxury directly on the beachfront on a mid-sized budget, or high-quality condo a few blocks back on a smaller budget, Playa del Carmen condos offer much more than just a good property; they offer a lifestyle. Besides the downtown amenities, the surrounding area includes many benefits such as golf courses, marinas, large-screen movie theaters that play most movies in English, new malls, high-quality hospitals, theme parks with an ecological focus, Mayan pyramids and much more. There are also some wonderful colonial cities within a couple of hours.
