When people think of Playa del Carmen Condos, several images come to mind. One is the beautiful beachfront for which the area is famous, and considered by many to be the most beautiful in the world; for this reason Playa del Carmen Beachfront Condos are among the top picks for Mexico Condo buyers from the U.S. and Canada. Another is the lifestyle – a relaxing place where you can put up a hammock to nap for the afternoon, take a walk on the beach, combined with all the conveniences of modern stores, health care and excellent roads.

When we read and hear about all the different good things about having a condo in Playa del Carmen, one aspect that is equally important is that Playa del Carmen is a real community. Yes, Playa del Carmen is international, with many Americans, Italians, Argentinians and other nationalities living on very friendly terms with the Mexican population. But this "international" aspect does not mean that Playa del Carmen is anonymous or impersonal; in fact, on the contrary, it is quite the neighborly place that a condo buyer can really claim as a second "home" instead of just another place to spend vacations.

Arriving in Playa del Carmen, probably first on vacations, a future condo owner will quickly notice the "foreigners" who seem to know as much as locals; these are the Americans and Canadians who have already chosen a Playa del Carmen condo or house as their home. Having neighbours from back home is always a comfort, and future condo-owners will find other North Americans on the beachfront, in their condo building, at Walmart, in the mall, etc. They are always willing to help out, give directions, translate if necessary, or just chat for a few minutes to find out where you're from.

But it's not only the other Americans and Canadians who are friendly. Once a new condo owner has moved to their home in Mexico, they will also find neighbors from many other parts of the world, including different places throughout Mexico. The majority of these are likewise ready for friendly conversation and to help out if needed. Most of them either know English well, or are fairly eager to practice and improve their English. English speakers often find yourself helping people out, and in exchange the locals will share a few Spanish words and phrases.

New comers will quickly make friends, and have plenty to do, but, of course, for those who prefer quieter time, alone, there is plenty of time to relax on the beachfront, or on a condo balcony overlooking the ocean, with a view of Cozumel in the distance.

The friendliness isn't just important for people looking for a relaxing place where they'll really feel at home, but it's also important for investors. Re-selling or renting a condo will be that much easier when, in addition to an amazing beachfront, and high quality real estate, buyers know that they are joining a neighborly, home-like community.
