Buying property on the Playa del Carmen Beachfront means life on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, but it also includes much more. Owning a beachfront condo in Playa del Carmen is a lifestyle, which includes the shops, international restaurants, bars and atmosphere of the famous Fifth Avenue, the broad range of activities provided by the ocean, the natural surroundings, the nearby sites to see, and high profile international events such as the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival. As the large scale tourism development continues to take place in the area, Playa del Carmen will find itself more and more in the strategic position at the center of the Cancun, Cozumel Real Estate and Tulum Real Estate areas.

There is no doubt that the Playa del Carmen beachfront lifestyle has an international atmosphere, with the trendy and fun Fifth Avenue, hosting events such as international film festivals and the jazz festival mentioned above. As far as the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival is concerned, you only have to take a look at the line up for 2010 (held in November with an "early show" in May this year) to see that it will be a series of excellent shows – the Festival has been placed in the top 10 events of this type in the world.

Caro Montes, a singer based in Playa de Carmen, will be responsible for opening the Jazz Festival with the May show. His talent has allowed him to share the stage with Eugenio Toussaint, Luis Conte, Dirk Freymuth and Mark Anderson. Another performer will be Phil Perry, a talented Smooth Jazz musician, who, through eight solo albums, has highlighting both its ability to interpret classic songs, as well as being an excellent songwriter. Brian McKnight will also be in the line-up; he is a producer, composer and singer, who has performed with Mase , Puff Daddy , Mary J. Blige , Vanessa Williams , Mariah Carey , Boyz II Men and Quincy Jones. The best part about the Jazz festival – it's directly on the beachfront!

This is only one example of the growing cultural importance of Playa del Carmen. As the plans progress for the Riviera Maya International Airport near Tulum, real estate in that town will begin to grow, and more Americans, Canadians and Europeans will choose Tulum as their home. However, with the growing importance of the Cancun International Airport – which has recently been expanded to facilitate Cancun's growth as an international travel and business hub – Playa del Carmen will continue to be placed strategically between both of these areas. Cultural events in Playa del Carmen, such as the Jazz Festival, will grow larger and more frequent because of visitors and residents coming to enjoy them from Cancun and Tulum. (Not to mention the real estate growth that both airports will bring Playa del Carmen.)

Cozumel real estate owners already hold a special connection with Playa del Carmen, since the ferry connecting the island of Cozumel to the mainland arrives in Playa del Carmen. The strong connection between the four beachfront real estate areas will continue to complement each other, providing more events, shopping areas, and services to the residents of each. Again, the key for Playa del Carmen beachfront real estate is that it is at the center of this area, providing a short trip to the three other destinations; in addition to this, the beachfront in Playa del Carmen provides many activities and events in itself; thus, owning beachfront property truly becomes a lifestyle.
